13 September - Dad's Army

I have not laughed so much in a while. I took the opportunity to watch Dad's Army. It is an old British TV comedy set during World War 2, when Britian had local defence volunteers. These were men who, to put it kindly, were not able to fight in the regular army, but still wanted to do their bit for King and Country. A fighting spirit that has sadly left Britain now.

The casting is outstanding, and although it was produced such a long time ago, it is still incredibly funny. There is no swearingm no shocks for the sake of shocking, just raw comedy talent. The likes of which we just don't have any more either.

Give Dad's Army a try and you will not find it wanting.
