Ray Harryhausen

Ray Harryhausen was the undisputed king of stop motion animation and is responsible for a large number of classic fantasy films. It is interesting to see how he developed his art as you compare his oldest films with the later ones. In particular, as he developed the challenging technique of blending stop motion with live action. All done without a computer or CGI. Very impressive.

Below is the box sets of his legendary special effects, some of which are without doubt the most visually stunning effects in film history for their time. The box set below contains four of his most-loved films: 7th Voyage Of Sinbad, The Golden Voyage Of Sinbad, Sinbad And The Eye Of the Tiger and the timeless classic Jason & The Argonauts. I own this box set and it is one of my favourites.
